Not only does this book explain in great detail the voyage, it has fascinating pictures in back showing the captain, origional telegram speaking of the iceburgs, and the inside of the ship. Following the pictures, there is a dated timeline of when the events took place including the times of sinking. I really like this author and the Dear America series!

Patricia I am currently reading White Star: A Dog on the Titanic. This book is geared to middle and upper elementary grades. I didn't realize there were several dogs on board the Titanic. Some in cabins and some in a kennel. White Star is about a boy and a dog who help each other survive. Your book sounds really interesting. I would like to read it also. I am not familiar with the Dear America series. I will have to check this out.
