really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Read from July 02 to 03, 2012

A light vacation read, I picked this beauty up because I thought it would be a nice filler read in between more serious books. You know, it was labeled and marketed out as a YA romance, not my usual read. Even 100 pages in, I wasn't that thrilled. But then something changed. Stone began to capture the story, the characters, the romance in a different light, giving time travel and teleportation a fresh spin. The few passages that were confusing the first time around smoothed themselves out after another glance. Time travel is not my favorite topic because it is often marred with lengthy physics explanations but not in this novel. The romance part was quite believable but I also liked the way Bennett was able to step back from Anna and think long-term. That's not a quality many teenage boy characters have and should have. I also found Anna was quite believable as well.
