It's amazing to me that I had never read this book! So glad I did. Dickens creates characters like no one else, and I was impressed by his characterization of the masses of revolutionaries and how well it captured both the capriciousness and purpose of war. I also have a whole new respect and horror for La Guillotine!

Ha! I feel sorry for that student already! But you'll enjoy it when you read it - knitting has never been so scary!
