The ending was the only reason I gave it two stars. It was unconventional. But overall, the story really wasn't that great. To me, it felt like it was just trying to combine elements from the new Nolan movies with the traditional back stories. The idea wasn't terrible, but I think the execution was. Instead of creating an original Batman tale, you wound up with a mixed up idea that cheaply throws in characters that don't need to be there, for reasons that add absolutely nothing to the story. (Joker, Query, Echo, Scarface...) So that's my take on it. The idea was good, but again, for me, it just didn't get put together right.
