Cal realizes he needs to get to Ireland to piece together the clues and solve the mystery of the Ormond Singularity before December 31. Sharkey, the ex-detective, helps him get a fake passport, along with ones for Boges and Winter.

In Ireland the trio finds the bed and breakfast where Cal's dad was staying and slowly, surely they piece together more of the puzzle...but not without danger. Sligo and Zombie II are on their trail. And, people in Ireland who have the information they need, end up dead...possibly at Sligo's hand. Fortunately, Cal, Winter, and Boges find some welcome, unexpectedly help from a group of travelers.

Finally, they reach Inisrue Marsh and head towards Craghill Keep where they now know the treasure is hidden. All of Cal's dad drawings and clues come together as they find out that Cal is descended from Tom Ormond and Elizabeth I. Together they had a child who was born out of wedlock and hidden away... Piers Ormond.

But, unforeseen dangers make themselves known, as the people who Cal, Boges, and Winter trusted plot against them, until it is almost too late. Eventually, Cal hears the truth behind the murders, the clues, and the family. He alone, Cal the oldest twin, is rightful heir to the treasure. Will he see it come to fruition, or will he lose his life, just as many did before him? December comes to a satifying, yet baffling conclusion. How could so many people do so many evil things to get their hands on a treasure worth millions and millions of dollars? Good thing technology loving Boges got the whole confession on tape!

Cal is finally free and charges are dropped against him, Winter finds out the truth about her parents' murder, and Boges can move forward with his plans.

Wow! This series is spine-tingling until the end. A great thriller series for reluctant readers and middle-school boys who will be, most assuredly, clamoring for the next book in the intallments. I give this series 4 1/2 stars.
