Lost Plantations of the South
by Marc R. Matrana (Goodreads Author)
This book was a bit more technical with architectural descriptions than I would have liked, but the pictures, few there were, were intriguing and the stories of the demise of these structures saddening.
Definitely not a coffee table book--I'd say it's more like a scrapbook. It'll go on my bookshelf for future reference but didn't delve enough into the geographical area (NC) I needed for my research so I can't see pulling it regularly.
