it was amazing
bookshelves: must-reads, and-the-rest

I saw the movie version of this about 10 years ago and it made such an impression on me that I can still remember most of it, when i found out this was a book a couple of weeks ago I immediately bought it. At first I couldn't get into it, but as soon as I sat down and really gave it a chance I was hooked - between reading on the bus and on my lunch break at work to going to bed early to fit some time in I couldn't put this down.

Gritty, realistic and a little idealistic in a good way, this book is the perfect read for anyone that wants a story that runs a little deeper.

The story changes between first person, third person and diary entries/interviews and is very well written, really showing you the story from all sides. Highly recommended.
