Robert Cording is my kind of poet, one who records life yet isn't afraid to celebrate its blessings of sparrows, and rain, and love. "I exult over birdsong, I'm grateful for the clearing rain/ and storm-freshened air, / the great banquet of light/ at my window." His touch is like the handshake of a friend...warm and close. This is a book to cherish.
