I'm having so much fun with this series. I had a flashback to childhood while reading this book, a memory of staying up all night under the covers reading by flashlight--Tad Williams is one of those authors who makes it hard to put a book down. There were times toward the last 100 pages or so when I could have gone for a little less expository details, beautiful as they were, but that did little to detract from my enjoyment. This series is right up there with Lord of the Rings, in my opinion, and it has all of the features of classic fantasy, from wizards and witches to mythical peoples and lands.
