I was confused many times as I read this book. Throughout, I could not tell what Cahill was trying to say; he was comparing the Bible to other Jewish works/teachings. Was he saying one was better/more accurate than the other? I don’t know. It was very well researched and eloquently presented, but I felt as though I was reading a compare/contrast book report (one leaving you with the overall impression of, “And…what’s your point?)

I had not ready any of his works before and, unless something comes highly recommended, I do not think I will read any in the future.
