it was amazing
bookshelves: books-w-supernatural-forensic-units

I love this series. Special Agent Heather Wallace and all the female characters are strong without being 'bitchy' or 'ballbusters' whilst still allowing for some vulnerability. The male characters – Dante in particular – show actual emotions without becoming whiny, petulant or self-involved. This strength of character is a nice change from so many urban fantasy novels that seem to peddle the ‘you must be emotionally damaged to be strong’ ideal. Although the storyline is supernatural in nature, the way it all unfolds is plausible and intriguing, as is the mixture of myth with historical fact. This series is on my ‘my daughter should read this when she’s old enough’ list.
