An engaging study for a setting in the future and a family now running a major company. This will certainly lead to future books. I liked the characters quite a lot and it is likely that many who received "bit parts" in this story may become major players, which is something I'd look forward to.
Like many Reynolds novels, the plot is nicely conceived and the surprises cannot always be discerned in advance, which I prefer. The character & family interactions are the strongest part of the book, with geopolitical/social and science elements supplementary, but, in many ways, unnecessary.
