it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction

Rachel's Holiday is by far one of my favorite books by Keyes. It's semi-autobiographical in the sense that Keyes herself struggled with alcoholism. What Keyes is able to do, unlike any other author that I have ever read, is make you feel like you are Rachel. You go through Rachel's journey through her eyes, and not once did I feel like I wasn't in her shoes. When Rachel feels like she's been run over by a freight train, I felt like I was run over by a freight train. When something feels unfair to Rachel, I felt it was unfair too.

I highly recommend this book. It's just amazingly written.
