Of course. I really have no idea when I read this book the first time, but it is one of my constant companions. Jane Austen's wit and singular perspective of the world as well as her mastery of the English language make her books a pure joy to read. The fact that her stories have been so relevant across the years, continents and all other factors is a testimony to her brilliance. This book is an excellent way to start, if you haven't yet been sucked into the world of Jane Austen. Suspend your disbelief, and emerge yourself in the pure humanity of the British upper crust of the Empire era!
