This book is so cute because the structure of the poems and text is in the shape and design of what the dog or cat looks like. The kids really love it and it is a great book to use as a mentor text before the kids create a poem on their own.

Mary I love the sound of this poetry book. I must have missed it in your stack last week. How fun is it to teach anamonapeia? Could you bring this book to class again this week? I want to get this for teaching my poetry unit. We Love Reggie Routman!!!
