3.5 Stars.

This book moves along nicely. I like the switching points of view--from the detective to the killer and back, similar to James Patterson. Another reviewer didn't like knowing who the killer was so early in the book. But, as in a Patterson mystery, just because you know who the killer is--doesn't mean you know who the killer is!

The British slang and acronyms are confusing sometimes, but they are only a mild distraction. The crimes are gruesome, definitely not for the faint of heart. The book is very well-put together. The author seems knowledgeable of police and forensic procedures. A surprise ending makes you want to keep following the Caffery character.
