The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy: An Economist Examines the Markets, Power, and Politics of World Trade by Pietra Rivoli
The basic point of this book is that politics screws around with economics more than you think. The books is extremely pro free trade and free markets and has a lot of good examples to back itself up. I thought that everything was well researched and the arguments were very coherent. It was a little slow, and I didn't particularly like the style of writing.
I completely agree with the last sentence. While I agree with Rivoli--at least the first few chapters I actually read, I felt she didn't convey her ideas effectively enough to grab my attention. I think if Steven Levitt collaborated with her, this would've been a great book.
