The basic point of this book is that politics screws around with economics more than you think. The books is extremely pro free trade and free markets and has a lot of good examples to back itself up. I thought that everything was well researched and the arguments were very coherent. It was a little slow, and I didn't particularly like the style of writing.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I completely agree with the last sentence. While I agree with Rivoli--at least the first few chapters I actually read, I felt she didn't convey her ideas effectively enough to grab my attention. I think if Steven Levitt collaborated with her, this would've been a great book.
