This book was about a really interesting bit of history that I never knew....the first native American to graduate from Harvard in the middle 1600's. It was fun to read in Maine because it is set on the new england coast( Martha's vineyard...close enough). I liked the way the author set up the storytelling with the voice of a strict ministers daughter. It was beautifully written too. Next time you are in the mood for some good historical fiction, remember this one.
