it was amazing

This book really managed to suck me in. I had already read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and The Man in the High Castle, but this one reads slightly differently. I loved the main character/author split personality thing which he introduces right at the start. It somehow feels real and easy to identify with, as do all the tragedies that happen to him. If you've ever heard anyone talk about aliens building the pyramids, the magic powers of the Fibonacci series, etc., they will seem like straightforward, reasonably conservative theories compared to the labyrinthian theologies PKD comes up with. I went back and forth between thinking he has gone completely insane and thinking that he may be onto something, which perhaps is what it's all about, since all his ideas about reality seem much more prominent than any plot or dialogue.
I'm looking forward to picking up The Divine Invasion soon.
