What an interesting premise for a book. It really shows what the world will be like if you knew how long before the world ended. In short, it was chaos. Can you imagine? I would want to do nothing, I especially wouldn't want to work. Henry Palace is a better person than I am, in fact he seems to be the only one interested in doing his job still.
When Zell was found dead, the other cops immediately said suicide. You can imagine that suicides were quite popular around this time. Henry dug deeper and found himself in a whole strange series of events.
I honestly had no idea where this story was going. Winters kept throwing me for a loop throughout the entire novel, and I was so shocked at what the conclusion was! This book is the start of a trilogy, and after the way this book ended I cannot wait to see what Nico is up to!
I really enjoyed this book because Henry was such a likable character. He was trying to do the right thing, even though he will be dead in 6 months. He was really passionate about his job and wanted to get justice for Peter Zell. He was truly a great character! I also enjoyed reading about life during this time. Everything was chaotic, and it was just such a interesting concept!
