I think the thing I liked about this was that it was from Ivy's perspective, and it was fun to see her emotional growth beginning, as well as seeing Rachel from her point of view. But the art was weird and didn't do the humanoids justice, and the story was over-dominated by Ivy's ~feelings to such a degree that it detracted from the mystery they were trying to solve. It was cotton candy fun, but lacked the heft and intrigue of the books. The graphic novel medium didn't offer enough, on the whole, to make it feel connected to the rest of The Hollows series.
