Gobsmackingly good. Every word counts. Compelling, quirky, an absolute gem of a book.

Everything you could want from a book. I visited Savannah about 15 years ago, and read this book for the first time then. I was just as mesmirised by it then as I was on my recent re-read. It's one of my top five of all time. I usually give anything that has been a cracking read four stars, but this one really does deserve all five.

Quirky, but soulful and intriguing. A bit like the City itself. Utterly absorbing and I loved every single word on every single page. Absolutely no skim reading here on this one!!!!

Read and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
