Holy crap- Awesome book! Could NOT put it down!

Blair, an unhappy teenager in a crappy life with a cold, career driven mother that seemed to have no soul- I honestly was close to tears in the first chapter because of how heartless her mother was-Her father has an ongoing affair,(which everyone is aware of)but keeps it underwraps for Blair's Mother's law career

then there is Ardith, Blair's best friend who has these 2 "parents" that are the waste products that time forgot, allowing parties to go on nightly, with nudity and underage drinking as the norm. Her father grabbing at the young girls that come to party with her disgusting brother- Ardith does not fit into her parents or her brother's world- She keeps them at bay using a padlock on her bedroom door at night.

This story is FILLED with devastating situations that are so raw and real and completely believable- I could not put this one down, and If I had a daughter I seriously would want her to read this book and talk to her about it when she was done with it
