I'm not sure if it was my giddiness of reading a book in Japanese for the first time, but this wasn't too bad.

My choices were kind of limited when it came to Japanese Manga, a medium I usually abhore. I don't know many Kanji, so I had to resort to Furigana. And Dragonball has got it in spades. I was a little worried when my friend Hiromi flipped through it and told me to never speak like the characters, their language being base and offensive. That was a little offputting, considering that was the entire point to begin with, but I took what I could, vocabulary etc.

Perverted, disgusting, juvenile . . . sure. But parts of it hearkened me back to my middle school days of playing Chrono Trigger. The art style was beautiful, and there were a couple of interesting ideas. Akira Toriyama should avoid writing women in the future at all cost.
