Leo,the late bloomer, like other children, learn in their own way, and in their own time. Also, Leo,the late bloomer, like other children, never stop surprising their families, in the amazing ways in which they suddenly blossom. This book will be very encouraging to children who feel like they are having a hard time "keeping up" with their classmates. When they hear this story, they will not feel so alone and different.

The teacher will provide the children with a plant seed, soil, planter, and water. They will plant their seeds and put them on a sunny window shelf and watch them grow. They will take care of the plants and keep a written record of the plant's progress in their own notebooks and add their illustrations. Planting and caring for a garden teaches patience and gentleness. Like children, plants need to be cared for in a very special way.
