really liked it

This was a great summer read. My chick-lit fans will devour this book. Izzie is forced to live with her previously unknown family after the grandmother that raised her is sent to a nursing home. Izzie's life undergoes a radical change - from living in the down and out beach town of Harborside to the gated world of Emerald Cove. Difficulties mount when her state senator uncle's campaign manager launches a onslaught of press stories meant to spin the situation to make the senator look good. Additionally, izzie's cousin Mira is none too thrilled to have Izzie around and Mira's mean, self-absorbed crowd make izzie's transition even more difficult. Throw in a little romance and you've got all the makings of a book that will not stay on the library shelves. I personally loved that the campaign manager was such a villain. It is an interesting commentary on how far someone will go to get why they want in the political arena.
