Since Jacques Pepin founded the Boston University Gastronomy program (with Julia Child) where I'm currently studying, I've been meaning to read his memoir to learn more about him and his life. I was blown away not only by his life story, but by his writing. He could have been writing the story of how he came to be one of the world's best known plumbers and I still would have found it engaging.
