I don't have many coherent thoughts about this because I think I'm still a little traumatized. This is the saddest book I've read in a while, but it was good. And I'm a huge fan of Downton Abbey, so the portrayal of the crumbling of those customs was fascinating. It felt a little bit Jane Eyre-y toward the end, which I enjoyed.
