Remi is seriously injured at the end of the last book "Without Reservations" and he is changed into a shifter in order to survive. The man that saves him, Jake, knows right away that he is Remi's mate, but wants Remi to get used to the idea of being a wolf before he finds out he's mated to a man!

Jake is very dominant and protective, and before long, they are unable to deny their attraction to one another. Remi's father is an abusive, horrible. evil man, and Remi is terrified that his father will find out about he and Jake and take his anger out on Remi's younger brother Sterling. Remi protects Sterling at all costs and doesn't want him to have to go through what Remi went through growing up.

Jake and Remi have to protect Sterling, gather information on Remi's evil father Dirk so that he can be put in jail, AND try to have a new relationship.

So much is going on in this book that I had to keep reading until I was finished. I really really enjoyed it and I hope Sterling's story comes out soon!
