Solid read. Like most nonfiction books it was a little repetitive, and it's frustrating that the end result is basically just being back at square one, but hey, don't shoot the messenger, eh? I've heard this author has a biased ("pro-Iran") view but I think the guy's just trying to plead for practicality; it's usually good to read nonfiction with a little grain of salt just in case though. Anyway I got a pretty good sense of what's been going on in the Middle East over the last ten years which was exactly my goal, so I'm satisfied. Did wake up in the middle of the night once in a panic but that's the world we live in.
