You Don't Want To Know
by Lisa Jackson
by Lisa Jackson
Lisa Jackson is an author who has published many, many books, so I am not sure why this book was written so loosely. It felt like a novice had written it. The book dragged on in many places, and I was so tempted to turn to the end, just to find out what had happened. The twists and turns simply did not make sense, and it seemed that Jackson had just heard the term "gaslighting," which referred to someone being made to think he (or in this case she) is insane, and she used it to excess throughout the last chapters in the book.
I gave it a 2, because I was interested enough in the characters to see who did it and what they actually did. Other than that, it was one that just did not hold my interest. If I had checked it out from the library, I would have turned to the end to find out the answers, and I would have returned it, virtually unread.
