I read this book and the rest of The Cutler series years ago, and have reread them at least 3 times since. I really loved this series; I love how Dawn starts off as a very shy and sweet girl in the first novel and then turns into a very powerful business woman. Her strong personality is always what I hoped to have. Usually I do not like V.C Andrews 4th novel (which usually is from the main characters daughters point of view). That was not the case here; I enjoyed Christies personality as well. I hated Dawn's, Grandmother Lillian Cutler, as she was cruel and manipulative. I found it interesting though that in the final book of this series, "Darkest Hour" that I grew to like her. And Darkest Hour is also one of my favourite books by V.C. Andrews. All in all- great series, recommend it to all V.C. Andrews fans.
