Peirce's writing, while dense, follows a strict, logical path. In every essay, I found a shocking prescience of thought, and you can see how much 20th Century thought sprang from these early essays. Pragmatism becomes pretty goddamn convincing, and this should appeal to anyone interested in either continental or analytic philosophy.
