I really enjoyed reading this historical mystery. The point of view was interesting and appeared to be well-researched. The mystery was graphic, but kept me interested at the same time. The ending was gripping yet never-ending. I thought the problem had been resolved with the reveal of the murderer, but no, we have a few problems to wrap up after that. My favorite character by far was Henry II. As I was reading his words, I was envisioning Peter O'Toole the entire time. Overall, a story worth reading and a series worth finishing.
