Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is by a large margin the best book of the Harry Potter series. It is not only the book with the best plot and the fewest slow passages, it is also the one book in the entire series where there is some interesting character development going on. Unfortunately, expanding on that topic would mean spoiling essential parts of the book, so I won't. If you have read the Potter series up to this point, you probably do not need many arguments in favor of reading also the final two books, but it might be nice to know that with The Half Blood Prince, you are in for a treat.

The fact that the Harry Potter books never go beyond good entertainment means that a top mark cannot come in question, but Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is entertaining enough to earn a mark clearly above average.
