In the end Oscar was not, for me, a sympathetic character. He was mostly annoying. A victim. That sai I enjoy books that don't give in to the pat ending where all is good and happy in the world and the characters all change for the best. Here, the author tries to show the simple fact of "nothing ever ends."]]>
