Rosalba and her grandmother spend time together and travel all over the city. While feeding the birds, Rosalba imagines what would happen if they could fly over the city, visiting her uncle's story and returning to her grandmother's girlhood home. The story ends with Rosalba and her grandmother climbing into a paddle boat for another shared adventure.

The story is written in English with a sprinkling of Spanish words and phrases that are easily translated or determined from context clues. I especially loved the vibrant, colorful illustrations that are a perfect compliment to Rosalba's imagination and Hispanic heritage.

Recommended for kindergarten through grade 2.
