4 stars- an entertaining riff on the old classic 'Beauty and the Beast', with more medical dramas.

I don't think I need to give a story brief as the title really tells the story itself, doesn't it? Just imagine it in Regency England, and a hero (while not beastly looking), having a beastly temper, and who really reminded me of House M.D (who was cited as an inspiration at the end).

I enjoyed the medical drama spliced in it, and the way Beauty (real name Linnet) was aware of her beauty, without being a narcissist and realised how her attractiveness affects others. There is also a fair amount of pop culture references (all couched in period appropriate terms of course), and the way some typical romantic tropes were used.

In short, it was a fun, exhilarating and thoroughly enjoyable read. A fun retelling of a classic fairytale
