Recommended for gr. 6-9 and up. Much of what I said in my review of the first book, Flora Segunda, applies to this one two. Flora is still trying to become her own person, despite the strong personalities of her mother, father and sister. Her friend, Udo, gets involved in a vanity-fueled scrape of his own, while Flora is misled by a seemingly attractive political figure. In the process of resolving all of this, she finds out a family secret and is well on her way to finding her place in Califa.
