it was amazing

This is an amazing memoir, far more honest than any other memoir I've read--it's serious and deep and thoughtful and unpretentious, and in many places, laugh out loud funny. I felt such a kinship with her reading this book because she is someone who understands that no matter how traumatic one's past--there are gifts that come from it. I love that she does not see everything in black and white. I love that she does not tell her story in a linear fashion but somehow it all fits together just right. I love that her reading history is a significant part of her story. This is a memoir as compelling as one of her novels, and just as true.
