Why I picked it up: next in the series

This continues to be a slice of life look at Amir and her young groom Karluk. Much of the action in the first half involves Amir's brother wanting her back so he can marry her off to someone else. Amir does not want to leave, but there is a battle.

I continue to enjoy it. My favorite was the last chapter which deals heavily with embroidery.

Contains: one “bad” word repeated several times; drawings of Amir bathing
flag
