In this scorching hot offering by Sierra Cartwright, Alani is a professional sub in a BDSM Club as well as the club’s accountant. While she loves her job, she has gotten bored with pretending to be a sub in the scenes. When Nathanial, one of the club’s owners catches her yawning and rolling her eyes, he demands that she be retrained –under his direction.

After a bad experience, Alani has no desire to be either in a full time relationship or in a Dom/sub relationship-she serves as a sub for the pain. But the pain inflicted during the scenes no longer brings her the joy and relief it once did.

Nathanial is a contractor whose job takes him out of the country on a regular basis, and he has no desire for a full time relationship.
But as he takes over Alani’s re-training, they both find that what they thought they desired may not be what they really want.

The book contains some heavy duty BDSM scenes and pulls no punches about the pain Alani wants and receives. The characters are well drawn and the emotional connection between them is intense.
