His best since Neuromancer. In the 20 years since Gibson started writing this stuff a lot of things he anticipated have actually happened. Pattern Recognition revisits some of the themes of Neuromancer and the Cybersdpace series. The heroine's name is similar to that of Case in Nueromancer and she's given the task of tracking down an artifact that is almost a space age Maltese Falcon in the context of an information driven culture and economy. Both the British and Russian settings are very, very authentic. Gibson on top form.
