I won this book in a giveaway. I couldn't wait to read it because I do like historical fiction. In all fairness to the author I read her book in doctor and hospital waiting rooms as my mother found breast cancer during this time. It was easy to pick up and put down. I liked her writing style. I liked the descriptions of the area and the characters. I thought sometimes the story drug out too long. It was a good book.
