This is a mesmerizing first novel. The use of the three narrators is a clever and effective device. Points of view are always important and the use of the three creates different voices, fears, and information. I read many of the goodreads reviews and while readers still persist in telling the story, I found more nuanced, thoughtful reviews for this novel. Cash deserves praise for this debut. The novel soars and it is difficult to walk away from it. The dialect, the characters, the setting are pitch perfect. This is one of the best books I have read in several years.
