I am new to the whole "reading hobbie" I was always so busy with everything else like school and working ridiculous hours that I honestly never had time to make for it. With that being said, I am not in a position where I can truely be a critic but find I enjoy this new hobbie but did not completely enjoy this book (so far). Someone a few comments down mentioned how much she seemed to feel sorrow for herself and literally the first 100 pages droan endlessly about it. I have full sympathy for her mother passing but I dont want to hear about it for 100 pages.. what kind of mood does that create?

Also, like others before me have said I feel like she was so focused on her own self pity that she forgot to mention more of the actual trail and its details.. the only parts I could stay interested in it were the stories of her encounters on the trails and those types of experiences.

From a very unexperienced reader to someone with a little more seniority I hope my opinion offends no one.

happy reading!
