This is the second book by Rhiannon that I have read. And oh my lord! I love her.
I have been a huge fan vampire stories since I was in middle school. All kinds of vampires. And Rhiannon's Vampire Bride series is very much like the old, Gothic horror vampires that seem to be lost to today's modern novels.
Glynis is headstrong, stubborn, and speaks her mind. Oh, how I love her. She is a redhead, so her fiery temper gets her in trouble a lot. What I love the most about her is that she while she fought for so long at being a vampire, she came to accept it, but refused to be the brute that Vlad was.
Vlad is someone who I can't decide on how I feel about him. He is gorgeous, brutal, imposing, terrible, great, and so many things that a vampire should be. Many times I hated his actions, but the more I thought about it, the more it all makes sense.
This book is absolutely wonderful. The middle was a bit slow at times, but I didn't really mind it. I just enjoyed this book so much. I can't wait to read the sequel. This book leaves off with quite a heartbreak.
