it was amazing

One of my all-time favorite books! Caine is such an utter bastard and hard-core personality that ypu can only either love the character for what he is or hate him with righteous fervor. I own all four books in this series and I go back and re-read them purely for the joy of "visiting" with Caine. Yes, there is a LOT of often creative profanity as well as blood, brutality and calculating bastardry... these are all an inherent part of Caine who is, in my opinion, one of the ultimate Survivor personalities in fiction.

IF you haven't already done so, Give Matthew Stover's creation a try... you'll either be drawn in along with the rest of us who love Caine despite himself or else you'll be so offended by him that you'll have to keep reading just to enjoy the horrible hardships that get visited upon his head.
