bookshelves: to-read

It's criminal that this book hasn't been rated by anyone on goodreads! 19th century quackery junk science explaining everything you need to know!

Maureen would you prefer comments here? or comments there?

message 2: by Greg (new) - added it

Greg Here or there. I'm not exactly sure why I decided to add this here, I think I kind of felt like I was cheating on goodreads by writing about books elsewhere.

The Crimson Fucker BRILLIANT!!!

B0nnie Orson S. Fowler is delightful...I can just picture him going around fixing all the problems in the world with the first thought that crosses his mind, "All women must do something, and houses be kept; what better than uniting them? Good housekeepers can be poor wives, and poor good; yet how much better both united? No family is fit to live in unless the wife heads kitchen, storeroom, and laundry. Obviously she should prepare her children's food, then why not hot husband's? In the true family it is mother here, there, everywhere, for everything."

Jason I think you are cheating on Goodreads—that review on your "greg writes stuff" blog should be here (or at least here, too!).

message 6: by Maureen (new)

Maureen maybe goodreads should put a little wiggle in its walk if it wants to keep greg home at night. :)

message 7: by Greg (new) - added it

Greg Maybe I'll just add a Highest Possible Recommendation!!! to the end of it.

Jason It's just easier to keep tabs on you when you're all in one place. Stop being so flighty!

message 9: by Greg (new) - added it

Greg But this was more work, the other way I would have just cut and pasted. I wrote maybe twenty new words for this 'review'!!!!

message 10: by Jason (new)

Jason I know but I actually liked what you had to say in your blog. But fuck that if you think I'm going to keep remembering to go there...

message 11: by Greg (new) - added it

Greg Don't worry, I'll forget to post there soon, and when I do again I'll probably add a status update. Or maybe be better about linking to it in a 'real' review.

message 12: by Jason (new)

Jason Plus I can tell from the grammar that karen your editor doesn't remember to go there, either. Although personally I prefer a well bed Scottish person to a well bred one. :)

Jason Don't put real in quotes like you're pretending to be all condescending. 'Greg.'

If that's your real name...

It's true, Karen hasn't visited to point out my typos. One day I'm going to start re-reading my reviews before posting them.
