Read from July 16 to 27, 2012

Lopez Lomong is an Olympic runner who was kidnapped at 6 years old and would have been forced to fight with the Sudanese rebels. His story is one of hope in the face of hopelessness. He has an undying spirit. One of the most inspirational stories you will read. You'll cry tears of sadness and joy. I've been watching him since the Bejing Olympics and whenever he's interviewed, I've always been touched by his gratitude to this country, which he now calls his own. He's a true patriot.
